Tanka poem: Drifting feather

Just above the sea
a sea gull circles downward
a feather falls free
as the laughing gull descends
and drifts further on the wind.

    • Thank you for your comment and the compliment! The feather does, indeed, continue its journey – and in this way, so does the sea gull, as the feather is a part of him. I think it is amazing, how much such a seemingly trivial thing might mean … the feather drifting on the wind inspired me with this line of contemplation, I wrote about it here in this blog and you (reading from wherever you currently are), can share in the moment and the contemplation. Who knows where else that feather might end up?
